Welcome to WCONLINE! To get started, register for an account by clicking the link to the left.

Available appointments appear on the schedules as white boxes. Appointments days and times vary. If you do not see available appointments, you may need to advance the schedule. To do so, click on Previous Week, Current Week, or Next Week at the top of the schedule.

The Law School Writing Center Writing Instructors are available, by appointment, to help L1 students with their Open Memo assignment. To ensure fairness to all, we allot one appointment per assignment.

At your appointment time, log in to WCONLINE, open your appointment, and then follow the instructions below.

NOTES ABOUT APPOINTMENTS

All appointments are 30-minutes long. During the Covid pandemic, the Law Writing Center staff are available for online appointments only (via Zoom).

  • Select a day and time from the available appointments, and click on the appointment you want.
  • Find the first rectangular box on the Existing Appointment page; it contains STAFF/RESOURCE EMAIL and LOCATION
  • Click on LOCATION and the Zoom link will appear. (If you are early, you will be in a waiting room until your appointment time.)
  • Do not click on START OR JOIN ONLINE CONSULTATION located in the box that says MEET ONLINE? ONLINE.
  • Inform the Writing Instructor at the start of the appointment about any questions you have or problems you wish to focus on. Writing Instructors will not find and correct every problem in your paper: that task is up to you when you review and revise your memo following your appointment. We do alert you to issues with your writing, (grammar, punctuation, etc.); we do not work on content.

Please upload your completed draft at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Good luck with your assignment!
